This full-time, three-year Master's programme is for international students.

Why Eastman?
Joining our Orthodontic Department will allow you to develop your expertise in this specialty. Our programme is highly respected and has been running for many years. It is an intensive course which trains graduates to be able to diagnose, treatment plan and manage patients who present with malocclusions.
The unit is one of the largest postgraduate training centres in Europe and provides high quality teaching and training in both the clinical and research skills demanded of contemporary orthodontic specialists.
We aim to provide an evidence-based approach to the specialty, through a programme which includes clinical work, lectures, seminars, practical courses, and research.
Teaching is undertaken by senior academic and clinical staff, many of whom have roles in other organisations including the Royal College of Surgeons, British Orthodontic Society, and European Orthodontic Society. We also have a special expertise in caring for patients with severe malocclusions, especially those requiring complex multidisciplinary care and for which we have a world-wide reputation.
Our graduates have a high pass rate in both the university and Royal College of Surgeons examinations. Many previous graduates have had their research accepted for publication in peer-reviewed journals and we also have a great track record of winning national and international prizes.
Which programme should I apply for?

| Two-year MClinDent - plus an additional 3rd year as an affiliate student at UCL | This is a closed programme for those who are appointed to a specialty registrar national training post via HEE national recruitment. Those applicants who are eligible to apply through this route must do so and should not apply directly to the university for either of the programmes detailed below. Entry to the specialty registrar national training programme is a competitive process which is run nationally once a year. Applicants must be appointed to a national training post first and, only if appointed do they apply to the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. This combined three-year programme gives eligibility to apply for the Membership in Orthodontics examination run by the Royal College of Surgeons |
| Two-year MClinDent | This programme is open to overseas applicants who are not eligible to apply though the national recruitment process. The two year programme does not give eligibility to apply for the Membership in Orthodontics examination run by the Royal College of Surgeons.Applicants for this programme apply directly through the UCL application portal. |

Contact and Visits
We welcomes visits from prospective overseas students to meet the Director or Deputy Director, provided you meet all of the mandatory requirements for entry to the programme.
