Implant CPD courses at UCL Eastman Dental Institute cover both introductory and advanced implantology skills. From our two-day overdentures course to our eight-day clinical implant prosthodontics course, we offer a range of implant courses to suit you and the needs of your practice.

    A two-day course on bone grafting for dental implants using the guided bone regeneration technique (GBR). Learn the principles of assessment, treatment, planning and surgical approaches to GBR.

    A one-day course that aims to provide dental nurses with an introduction to implant dentistry. 
  • Soft Tissue Management for Dental Implants
    This one-day CPD course for dental surgeons is designed to further your understanding of soft-tissue management for dental implants

    This two-day course is for clinicians who want to manage the restoration of dental implants in straightforward cases. 
  • Implant Dentistry: Maxillary Sinus Augmentation
    This two-day course will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the management of the atrophic posterior maxilla.
  • Implant Dentistry: Implant Overdentures
    A two-day course on the surgical placement and subsequent restoration of dental implants with overdentures. Interactive seminars will be followed by a demonstration of treatment procedures on a live patient.
  • Implant Dentistry: All-on-4 & Immediate Loading
    A two-day course introducing the All-on-4 concept from start to fitting of a provisional prosthesis in one day, including all lab stages.

    A one-day hands-on course to further dental surgeons' understanding of surgical concepts and techniques. Covers biological concepts of soft and hard tissue management during surgery, healing processes, and relevant surgical skills.
  • Periodontology: Masterclass in Periodontics
    A five-day hands-on course for dentists who want a deeper understanding of periodontology. The emphasis is on diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical management, and the role of periodontics in the daily clinical practice.

Online courses

  • Digital Dental Photography
    In this three-hour online CPD course, Dr Robert Stone will provide you with the knowledge and practical advice required to take consistently good, clear, dental photographs for documenting your cases.
  • Oral Cancer: An Update for General Dental Practice
    Rates of oral cancer are increasing and it's presenting in people beyond those traditionally considered at-risk. This one-hour online course, presented by Professor Stephen Porter, will help you understand aspects of oral cancer and related disease relevant to the primary oral healthcare setting.
  • Laser Dentistry: An Introduction
    This five-hour online CPD course is designed for clinical dental professionals who want to gain sound knowledge of laser-tissue interaction. The course aims to provide evidence-based core knowledge in laser use in dentistry in order to benefit your patients’ experiences and outcomes. After completing this course, you will be eligible to register for the Fellowship in Laser Dentistry six-day face-to-face course in London.
