Jiten's activities include teaching and training in all aspects of microscopy and analysis. His primary interest is in advanced imaging techniques on the confocal microscope such as Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) and Fluorescence-Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM). While conducting research in a BRC core funded facility, Jiten used advanced flow cytometry and microscopy and in vivo imaging systems to identify markers for relapse of Multiple Sclerosis in patient samples, in addition to managing the Microscopy and Flow Cytometry facility.
