I chose to study Periodontology at UCL Eastman because I want to gain extensive knowledge in Periodontology. I knew the Institute would have been the perfect background since its great reputation, being one of the best for postgraduate studies in dentistry.
I'm amazed by the amount of things I'm learning day-by-day and how much I'm already putting into practice in my clinical activity. The residential weeks of the programme have been extremely useful for a direct interaction with our tutors and colleagues, to talk face-to-face about all the topics covered so far and doubts about our own cases/clinical work, which we can also do every day through our online portal. We are truly supported and assisted.
For me the MSc has already provided job opportunities in the clinics where I work and as an author for a scientific journal.
The best thing is being able to keep on working while having the possibility to continue education in an institute like Eastman. It's a part-time, distance-learning but it feels like a full-time course, because the programme implies weekly involvement and participation. Moreover, a programme like this can be adjusted to our busy daily work and life routine.
I would like to continue working in my country and dedicate my work entirely to Periodontology in a private setting, possibly contributing to research in Periodontology and become an active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology.
