Breadcrumb trail

Nasser Alqhtani

I'm interested in the fields of implantology, tissue engineering and oral surgery. My scholarship is fully funded by Mistry of education, Saudi Arabia.

I chose UCL Eastman as it’s one of the world’s leading dental institutes. It is part of UCL that has high universities worldwide ranking. Doing my PhD at Eastman introduced me to such interesting people, keen to help and support. Also, the staff were helpful and shared their knowledge

Piyaphong Panpisut

I am looking at composites for tooth and bone repair. I am funded by Thai Royal Government Scholarship. The aim of this scholarship is to support staff in universities or government sections who want to pursue a higher education but have to come back and work for the government.

UCL Eastman is well-recognised institute as many of alumni have shown an outstanding clinical and research skills. Eastman provides me an interesting translational research, excellent technical supports and supervision. It has a strong connection between clinical and research facilities. I hope to Continue doing research and fulfil my dream to be an academia

Tarek Ahmed

I am researching nanotechnology, collagen and ageing. I am funded by a studentship from the BBSRC and UCL Impact

The Eastman and UCL provide a community of world leading researchers, the latest equipment and close links to industry. I enjoy the postgraduate environment with access to clinical researchers, patients and leading researchers. The research carried out at the Eastman has a direct link to improving the lives of people and researchers are able to work closely with clinicians. The research student body is also friendly and lively.

I have conducted research with a leading cosmetics company (L’Oreal) and have also taken part in a number of research competitions

I would like to continue pursuing a career leveraging innovation and research. My experiences with industry and research gained during my time at the Eastman will aid greatly in these ambitions.
