Postgraduate Programmes

UCLMS are delighted to offer a range of programmes aimed at a various professions and with a choice of learning delivery (online/attendance/blended) designed to enable the student to work around their own professional/personal responsibilities.

PG Cert/Dip/MA Clinical Education

This inter-professional programme addresses the contemporary context, educational theory and practical teaching skills relevant to practitioners of all disciplines involved in education and training of healthcare professionals.  This programme enables participants to develop their research and analytical capabilities in order to:

  • develop their practice as educational supervisors and mentors
  • develop their skills and practice as clinical education teachers
  • critically analyse theory policy and practice in clinical education
  • conduct research in clinical education

Fees 2017-18

Fees for the MA Clinical Education are collected centrally by UCL and you will be invoiced upon commencing your studies for any modules you select in an academic year.  You are then able to pay via three installments per year (see UCL Fees website for further information).

£7,925 (UK/EU, full -time)
£17,190 (overseas, full-time)
Modular/flexible students (non-full-time) will be invoiced on a pro-rata basis over their duration of study

Short Course Programme

The modules on the PG Cert/Dip/MA Clinical Education are also available to be studied on a standalone basis, as either credit-bearing or non-credit-bearing (CPD without assessment).  

Short Course students are given the opportunity to transfer onto the PG Cert/Dip/MA Clinical Education at a later date.  This programme also enables prospective students to apply at additional points in the academic year rather than the standard September/January of each year. 

Fees 2017-18

Short Course/CPD module fees are collected at departmental level by UCL Medical School and are payable via the UCL Online Store (credit/debit card).

  • Short Course module credit bearing: to apply for the Short Course Programme please complete an application form here
  • Short Course module non-credit bearing (CPD):  You can apply for any of these modules on a CPD basis (without assessment) by completing an application form
  • The deadline for applications from Short Course applicants is eight weeks before each module (see below list)

In addition to our PG Cert/Dip/MSc in Clinical and Professional Education we also deliver a M level programme in Medical Education in conjunction with the Royal College of Physicians London.
