RUMS rugby team win the United Hospitals Cup!
13 March 2015
We are delighted to announce that, after no less than 128 years of waiting, the Medical School Men’s Rugby team are once again winners of the United Hospitals Cup.
Last Friday saw RUMS (Royal Free, University College and Middlesex Medical Schools) beat the current holders, Imperial, 20-6 in a fiercely contested final.
The United Hospitals Cup is the oldest rugby competition in the world being played in 1875, some four years before the Calcutta Cup.
Congratulations to the whole team but especially the two finalists who played less than 72 hours before beginning their finals examinations.
