Patients and their safety are at the heart of medicine. The General Medical Council extents this thought into their education and training standards, suggesting that (upcoming) doctors’ learning environments should support doctors whilst also prioritizing patient safety. But what are supportive learning environments? How can we improve these learning environments? And how are they linked to patient safety?

In this presentation Milou will discuss the various elements that constitute a learning environment, explain their relevance for the professional performance of (upcoming) doctors, and their relevance for patient safety. Milou will also invite you to discuss the link between learning environments in medical education and patient safety. Everyone welcome!
