Healthcare Biomagnetics Laboratory

The UCL Healthcare Biomagnetics Laboratory was founded in 2008 by Professor Quentin Pankhurst. It is a cross-disciplinary team of 40 physical and life scientists, engineers, and medics, based in 300 m2 of dedicated facilities in the Royal Institution of Great Britain (RI) building in Mayfair. The HBL was initially a joint venture between the RI and UCL, and ran as the RI’s Davy Faraday Research Laboratory until Apr. 2013, after which it became a solely UCL institute.

The Laboratory works with Magnetic Nanoparticles and Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
