Healthcare Biomagnetics Laboratory

The UCL Healthcare Biomagnetics Laboratory was founded in 2008 by Professor Quentin Pankhurst. It is a cross-disciplinary team of 40 physical and life scientists, engineers, and medics, based in 300 m² of dedicated facilities in the Royal Institution of Great Britain (RI) building in Mayfair. The HBL was initially a joint venture between the RI and UCL, and ran as the RI’s Davy Faraday Research Laboratory until Apr. 2013, after which it became a solely UCL institute. 

The Laboratory works with Magnetic Nanoparticles and Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
