Dr Savvas Savvidis receives the UKRI-EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship

We are excited to announce that Dr Savvas Savvidis, has won a UKRI-EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship titled: “Guiding the progression of organoid-based organ engineering protocols through innovative imaging approaches”, establishing an interdisciplinary collaboration between our department’s Advanced X-ray Imaging group and the UCL GOSH-ICH Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine laboratory.

Savvas commented that “I believe that Phase-based imaging tools can be key in unlocking the great potential of the field of tissue engineering; ultimately enabling the regeneration of laboratory-grown peritonealised organs.”
