Book chapter: the use of photon scattering interactions in diagnosing and treating disease

10 January 2019

Rob Moss has contributed a chapter on photon scattering to a new book on multi-modality imaging.

The chapter, whose co-authors also include colleagues from both Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering departments as well as a number of other institutions, looks at photon scattering applications in medicine, and how both incoherent (Compton) and coherent (Rayleigh) scattering events support proton range verification during proton beam therapy.
