Title: Better understanding of imaging through transcriptomics
Abstract: In this seminar I will talk about how studying the gene expression profile (the identity and amount of used genes) of tissues may help us to better understand what we see in imaging data. I will first review the (molecular) biology behind this approach including recent developments in the field of genetics. Secondly, I will highlight a few recent publications that aim at linking transcriptomics to brain imaging to better understand brain organization and susceptibility to disease, including recent work from our own group.
