MC8: Synthesis and Design of Functional Materials

The latest in the series of highly successful RSC Materials Chemistry conferences, MC8, will focus on key areas at the interface between materials chemistry, physics, and engineering. The conference will be held in the Department of Chemistry, University College London from 2nd - 5th July 2007.

The themes will combine elements based around materials types (e.g. molecular materials, ceramics, nanostructured compounds), with themes based on applications of materials (communications, energy storage, catalysis, etc.). Some sessions will have a strong emphasis on technique development, to study functional materials synthesis and operation, under realistic operating process conditions.
