UCL MBPhD 25 Year Anniversary Event
This special event to mark the 25th anniversary of the MBPhD programme at UCL is taking place on Wednesday 8th January 2020 from 12.30pm, in the Gustave Tuck Lecture Theatre (UCL Wilkins Building).
We will begin with a buffet lunch at 12.30pm, to be followed at 1.15pm by an opening talk from our esteemed former colleague Professor Gordon Stewart, giving a historical overview of the programme, followed by talks from Professor David Lomas, UCL Vice Provost (Health), and Professor Robert Kleta, Director of UCL Division of Medicine. The rest of the afternoon will offer talks by current students showcasing the variety of research which has been undertaken as part of the MBPhD, as well as presentations from alumni and senior academics. At the end of the afternoon we will move on to a drinks reception in the South Cloisters where there will be an opportunity for everyone to meet our current students who will be presenting their posters. The event will close at 7.00pm.
All are welcome to attend this celebration of UCL success. Please register via Eventbrite.
Students in their final PhD year are expected to present their research at the MBPhD Annual Symposium in January. This event is a showcase symposium for the Programme. The audience includes present and past students, prospective students, supervisors, funding bodies and senior academics.
