(1) Yassin Moktadir is one of three inspirational UCL students who have won Student Social Mobility Awards in recognition of their ability to overcome socio-economic challenges and achieve outstanding success. Congratulations Yassin!

(3) Georgina Al-Badri passed her viva with minor corrections this week. Her thesis, titled "Towards a multiphase model of vascular network formation in a hydrogel", was supervised by Nick Ovenden. Congratulations Dr Al-Badri!
