We are pleased to announce that the Department of Mathematics has been conferred the Athena SWAN Silver Award in recognition of our commitment to advancing the careers of women in mathematics in higher education and research. This is a result of a departmental effort to address the barriers to progress that affect women. We will continue to work towards creating an environment where mathematicians from diverse backgrounds can thrive.
