My research concerns dynamically coupled fluid-body and fluid-network interactions.  Configurations of the interactions involve a rigid body surrounded by a fluid in a channel, lift-off of the body in flow and fluid dynamical networks with multiple branching and reconnections.

Research Interests

Recalescence and freezing of supercooled water droplets upon impact with solid surfaces. It's an interesting topic since puts together the discrete and the continuous aspect of the fluid and that's  why I find it so fascinating.

Among my other interests there are Fluid Mechanics and Continuum Mechanics in general. Special and General Relativity, Quantum Theories of Gravity (Loop quantization) are also part of my background.

My research concerns the modelling and analysis of issues related to security and crime, using methods from complexity science. This involves the use of non-linear dynamics, both discrete and continuous, simulation methods, and network theory. Present areas of application include the spatio-temporal modelling of both residential burglary and large-scale public disorder.

Research Interests

My research interests are in boundary integral methods and other numerical schemes used in computations on free-surface flows. I am currently looking at numerical schemes used to compute large bubbles rising in a tube,  including both gravity and surface tension within the boundary condition. Particular interest is taken in the limit as surface tension goes to zero.

I also have a general interest in areas of fluid mechanics

My research focuses mainly on how the presence of small, oscillating bumps on a surface could affect the surrounding boundary layer, with particular emphasis on the potential for this method to delay or suppress the separation of a laminar boundary layer at high Reynolds numbers.  This would be of interest in, for example, the design of aircraft as a means of preventing stall and reducing drag.

Research Interests

I am interested in the interplay between geometry and integrable systems, particularly the algebro-geometric theory of continuous and discrete Painlevé equations. These are universal integrable models which have been found to be controlled by the geometry of certain rational surfaces. My research involves applying the rational surfaces approach to study the beautiful properties of these systems, as well as investigating whether there exists a similar geometric formulation for differential-delay equations that possess analogous integrability properties.
