Welcome to the website for the 2012 British Applied Mathematics Colloquium. The conference will be held at University College London from 27th to 29th March 2012 in various lecture rooms around the historic front quad and the Cruciform Building.

WHERE TO GO :
The registration desk for BAMC will be in the North Cloisters of the main UCL building. Enter the main UCL quad from Gower Street (with the famous portico ahead of you). The North Cloisters are immediately to the left of the portico.
Most of the BAMC talks will take place in the Cruciform Building, which is across Gower Street from the main quad; but note that you will need a conference namebadge to get entry to that building, so please come to the registration desk first.

If you are planning to attend the BAMC and have not yet registered, you can register on arrival. Please come to the helpdesk in the North Cloisters, Wilkins Building (just left of the portico if you enter UCL through the main quad).
You will need to bring cash or a chequebook.

The closing date for early registration will be midnight on Sunday 19 February 2012. After this date a late fee is applicable.
Registration has been extended, and will now close at midnight on Sunday 11 March 2012.
The conference dinner will be held on Wednesday 28 March 2012 at 7pm in the Hotel Russell (1-8 Russell Square, London, WC1B 5BE), for which there is a separate fee.
Fees
- Standard registration fee 1: £190
- Reduced fee for postgraduates and retired staff 1: £135
- Late fee 2: £40
- Conference Dinner fee 3: £49
- One-day registration fee: £90
- Reduced one-day fee for postgraduates and retired staff: £60
Please note that accommodation is not provided.

- Student support

We have a limited amount of Money available from the London Mathematical Society to support research students' attendance at this meeting.
Depending on demand, we may be able to cover the following costs for research students studying at Universities in the UK who do not have other means of financial support:
* reasonable economy class travel
and/or
* accommodation in LondonWe will only consider those students who have applied to present a paper or poster at the meeting; we will not accept accommodation costing more than 150 + VAT per night, and would hope that applicants could find accommodation at a much more reasonable rate (see the Accommodation page for suggestions).
To apply for this support, applicants should send the following information by Sunday 12th February 2012 to Dr Helen Wilson by email (helen.wilson@ucl.ac.uk):
(1) Name, university address, and PhD topic
(2) Title and abstract of BAMC paper or poster submitted through EasyChair
(3) A letter from your PhD supervisor confirming that you are a UK research student and explaining why there is no other financial support available (e.g. Doctoral Training Award)
(4) Evidence of what your travel and accommodation costs will beSuccessful applicants will be notified by Thursday 16th February 2012 to allow registration after the results are known without incurring a late fee.
