UCLse’s founding aim was to share the knowledge and skills developed by the Mullard Space Science Laboratory from over two hundred space missions completed over the last fifty years with systems engineers in other sectors. This experience has allowed us to develop five fundamental principles that we believe contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.
We offer three IET-accredited MSc programmes, which teach concepts based on the latest research and help students master practical skills. In addition, we offer project management courses accredited by the APM, open training courses focused on developing technology and complex systems, and deliver major customised programmes for multiple organisations, including Jaguar Land Rover and the European Space Agency.
UCLse is a dynamic environment, combining world class research with high-impact teaching and training. Significant staff time is devoted to reflection, research and personal growth.
We use systems thinking and other lenses to deliver successful change.

Principles of Systems Engineering
We believe that the realisation of large, complex projects requires a combination of good systems engineering practice, strategic planning, project management and systems thinking.
