The Institute for the Physics of Living Systems (IPLS) brings together researchers from across UCL departments and disciplines in the pursuit of a set of common research goals. Working together, the IPLS community applies concepts, tools and approaches from the physical sciences and engineering to address important problems in biology across a range of themes from the physics of multi-molecular machines to those of ecosystems. In addition, to help nurture the next generation of research scientists, IPLS also provides training and community-building activities at the PhD and post-doctoral level.
