How to Find Us

The UCL Department of Physics & Astronomy is part of the main UCL campus, located just south of Euston Road, close to Euston, Euston Square and Warren Street undergound stations.

The HEP group is housed in the main Physics & Astronomy building, near to the intersection of Gordon Street and Gower Place. 

Our group administrator is in room E15 on the ground floor. The group's offices are on the first (“D” rooms) and second (“C” rooms) floors of the Physics building, and room G19 in the Kathleen Lonsdale building.

Please note that all building entrances and the main Physics staircase need a UCL swipe card to access, so visitors should either arrive at the Gower Court entrance and use the intercom to speak to the team in E15 for entry, or contact a member of the department in advance to arrange access.

The Gower Court entrance is shown on the map above. Directions:

• If coming from Euston Station, cross Euston Road and head South on Gordon Street. Take the first right on to Gower Place, then the first left on to Gower Court. Go past the security desk, the entrance to Physics is at the corner, with the intercom next to the door.
• If coming from Euston Square, head South on Gower Street, take the first left on to Gower Place, then walk behind the Wellcome Building and take a right on to Gower Court. Go past the security desk, the entrance to Physics is at the corner, with the intercom next to the door.

To reach the main entrance to Physics (swipe card access):

• Enter UCL at the Gower Street/Main Quadrangle entrance. Walk diagonally across the quadrangle towards the far left corner and enter through the sets of double doors into the North Cloisters.
• Go straight ahead, past the Haldane Room on your right and the Houseman Room on your left, through a set of double doors and past the lifts on your right. The Physics main entrace is straight ahead.
• To reach E15, go along the Physics corridor, past the lift and round the corner to the left. E15 is the last room on the left.
