A broadband fluorine observe (BBFO) double-resonance probe has been in use since July 2022. The X-nuclei broadband frequency range covers 97Mo-31P and, additionally, includes 19F. This enables observation of 19F with 1H decoupling and vice versa.
The sensitivity specifications are:
1H 173 : 1 (noise [200 Hz], 0.1% Ethylbenzene in CDCl3);
13C 140 : 1 (noise [40 ppm], ASTM, 40% dioxane, 60% C6D6);
15N 20 : 1 (noise [2 ppm], 90% formamide in DMSO-d6);
19F 308 : 1 (noise [1 ppm], 0.05% TFT in CDCl3);
31P 127 : 1 (noise [5 ppm], 0.0485 M Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP) in acetone-d6).
The 300 MHz instrument is equipped with a 60-position sample changer (SampleCase Plus), shown below, together with the 300 MHz magnet and the workstation.
