MAPS Early Career Researchers Travel Grant 24/25
26 February 2025
MAPS early career researchers can apply for up to £500 by 24 March 2025 to visit external organisations or attend training or conferences.

Overview
MAPS Early Career Researchers (ECR) travel grants are small awards made to support MAPS ECRs who wish to undertake research visits or attend conferences or training programmes where there is no alternative financial support.
You can apply to visit external research organisations, companies or public bodies with the aim to create new connections or explore opportunities for new collaborations. You can also apply to attend training programmes that are not available at UCL, or scientific conferences where you will be presenting original research.
Visits can take place both in the UK and EU.
The award must be spent by 31st July 2025. Unspent award cannot be extended.
Successful applicants will be required to submit a short report (maximum one A4 page, not including any photos or graphs) following their visits to the Faculty Research Coordinator, Cindy Li, at se.li@ucl.ac.uk, by 30 September 2025.
