As well as being a respected scientist, researcher and leader, he was also a treasured colleague and friend to many in the IRDR. Professor Huq was a core partner on a number of IRDR projects, a regular speaker at our events and, perhaps more importantly, an inspirational mentor to many of our staff and students. The profound impact that he made to both the climate change field and to the professional and personal lives of the people he worked with is immeasurable.
