1. The Nobel Prize for Physics was announced on 6th October 2020, and Sir Roger Penrose is one of the recipients. It is perhaps not widely known that his first degree - in Mathematics - was taken right here at UCL.
2. Two colleagues were successful in the EPSRC New Horizons call - Lorenzo Foscolo and Sarah Zerbes (jointly with David Loeffler). Congratulations Lorenzo and Sarah!
