  • UCLQ Hosts the UKACC Workshop on Exploring Opportunities in Quantum Control

On April 30th, UCLQ is proud to host the next in a series of workshops organised by the United Kingdom Automatic Control Council (UKACC). Following on from their previous event, on the future of control theory, the workshop on Exploring Opportunities in Quantum Control will aim to bridge the gap between classic control theory and engineering, and the emerging field of quantum technologies.

Professor Ian Petersen, Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering, will lead the workshop with a review of Quantum Control Theory, including descriptions of quantum systems and current models of controlling quantum dynamics.

The workshop will also include presentations from Roger McKinlay, of the Strategic Advisory Board of the UK Quantum Technologies Programme, and EPSRC Senior Engineering portfolio manager Tracey Keys, who will discuss the landscape of quantum technologies in the UK and funding opportunities for both classical and quantum control.

Tickets for the event are available on Eventbrite.
