3. Recent grant successes:
(i) Slava Kurylev and Lauri Oksanen: ”Nonlinear geometric inverse problems” (joint with Cambridge)
(ii) Timo Betcke: ”Reducing the Threat to Public Safety: Improved metallic object characterisation, location and detection” (joint with Swansea)
4. At the recent De Morgan Dinner, Isidoros Strouthos was awarded the annual Department Teaching Award for all-round excellence in teaching and support for students.
