  • Dr Gareth Peters to discuss the future of Operational Risk Quantitative Modelling and Risk Management at OpRisk Europe

Dr Ariane Chapelle and Dr Gareth Peters of UCL Network of Operational Risk Managers UCL-NORM will lead a day long workshop on the future of Operational Risk practice to debate the new regulatory proposals of the Basel committee on the Standardized Measurement Approach (SMA) framework versus Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA).

This will take place at a global industry and academic conference run yearly in Europe known as OpRisk Europe. The significance of this critical discussion on quantitative and qualitative aspects of operational risk modelling and recently proposed regulatory changes will be discussed. It will be certainly a hotly debated topic that should attract regulators and banking professionals into the debate.
