The REF exercise is a major six yearly exercise that assesses research outputs, research environment and impact of the research from university departments across the UK. In mathematical sciences there were 53 submissions and at UCL this included researchers from the departments of Mathematics and Statistical Science.
We are delighted to be among the strongest mathematical science departments in the UK: we are 6th in the UK in the amount produced of world leading (4*) research publications.
