  • Dr Gianluca Baio releases new R package to perform cost-effectiveness analysis

Dr Gianluca Baio has released a new R package for Bayesian Cost-Effectiveness models in the presence of structural zero costs. The package BCEs0 (which can be downloaded from CRAN) implements the framework presented in a forthcoming paper (available at the link below). BCEs0 allows the user to simply specify some distributional assumptions; then it writes a model code in the JAGS language to a file and execute the MCMC analysis in background. The results are stored in the current R workspace and can be used to perform the health economic analysis.
