Dr Peter Bratby
Natural Sciences Lecturer and Admissions Tutor
Peter joined UCL in January 2020 as a Lecturer. His background spans mathematics, neuroscience and computing and he is interested in how the brain functions computationally. Peter graduated in mathematics from the university of Warwick, and after various jobs in computer software, completed a PhD on "the mathematics of shark brains" from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He has also spent a considerable amount of time in Japan, where he conducted research into the computational function of the cerebellum, and taught primary school kids how to build air rockets. Peter has many interests, but in recent years has been spending much of his free time very gradually learning to play guitar.
