UCL has been named the ninth best university in the 2026 QS World University Rankings, the third year in a row the university has held this position.

Twelve UCL alumni and students, including UCL Mathematics alumnus Zubair Junjunia, have been recognised in nine different categories in Forbes’ annual 30 Under 30 Europe list for 2025, which celebrates the young entrepreneurs and creatives in Europe.

The MAPS Faculty Awards ceremony 2024 took place on the 9 December in the Haldane Room, Main Building, bringing together faculty members, students, and staff to celebrate a year of remarkable achievements within the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences.

UCL Professor Hannah Fry has been honoured with the Royal Society Medal in recognition of outstanding work in inspiring young people to pursue maths.
