Title: Spectral asymptotic for Schrödinger operators with bounded potentials
Abstract: In this talk, I will present recent results and conjectures on the local density of states for Schrödinger operators on Euclidean space. This quantity measures how many quantum states with energy below a given value are concentrated near a point, and it is encoded in the diagonal of the spectral projector kernel. I will focus on a high-energy asymptotic result for operators whose potentials satisfy scattering-type estimates at infinity. I will also introduce some basic ideas from semiclassical microlocal analysis, explaining why localizing in both position and momentum (i.e., microlocalizing) is essential in the proof.
