LCN EDI Committee
The LCN's EDI committee is chaired by Dr Carla Perez-Martinez.
We aim to ensure our committee has balanced representation from across the LCN community, with our current members being a mix of academic, research, and professional service staff, at various career stages, and postgraduate students. The department head (Prof Steve Bramwell) and the departmental manager (Lucy Keepking) are members of the committee to ensure the support of the department.
Dr. Carla Perez Martinez
Chair of the LCN's EDI Committee
Carla runs an experimental laboratory in the LCN, and she leads research on nanomanufacturing technologies that use new sources of ions from ionic liquids. As chair of the committee, her goal is to help make the LCN the best possible environment for everyone to thrive and succeed in world-leading research.
Prof. Steven Bramwell
Director of the LCN at UCL
The LCN prides itself on being fair, equitable, and inclusive. This creates an environment where all colleagues can make their best contributions and constructively work together. Promoting EDI greatly enhances LCN’s ability to deliver research and training of the highest international standard.
Mrs. Lucy Keepking
Department Manager
As Department Manager, my role oversees all administrative and support functions within the LCN. EDI is at the forefront of everything we do, ensuring the staff and students we support are treated fairly and equitably. As a member of the EDI committee, I make sure our departmental processes and practices allow all individuals rights and dignity in the workplace.
