The PUEO experiment is preparing for its first flight in Antarctica.

The PUEO experiment is preparing for its first flight in Antarctica. PUEO will take a balloon-borne trip around the continent, searching for the signals of ultra-high neutrinos interacting with the ice - turning the whole of Antarctica into a neutrino telescope.

HEP Senior Mechanical Engineer Harry Barnett is currently deployed in Antarctica to support the flight (and took this picture), and the PUEO group at UCL is led by Prof Ryan Nichol.
