Title: Precision and robustness: Embryogenesis, circadian clock, and phase separation
Abstract: Being precise and robust is a common feature in many biological systems. I will discuss two examples from our recent work. The first is C. elegans embryogenesis in which each cell’s position in the embryo is uniquely determined by its lineage. The second is the molecular circuit responsible for generating circadian rhythm, in which protein condensates were found to enhance the translation efficiency.
