From the White Heat of Technology to today: Labour, politics and science
To mark the 60th anniversary of the famous Harold Wilson speech, we would like to invite you to join us to reflect on the impact of this speech.
In September 1963, Labour Leader Harold Wilson gave his famous “White Heat of Technology” speech to the Labour Party Conference in Scarborough, describing his vision to create a different kind of Britain by harnessing the scientific and technological revolution of the time. To mark the 60th anniversary of the speech, we would like to invite you to join us to reflect on the impact of this speech, and the enduring political appeal of the transformative power of technology in the intervening years, up to today.
