UCL Statistical Science
The Department of Statistical Science has played a major role in the development of the subject ever since its foundation in 1911 as the Department of Applied Statistics. The demand for numerate graduates exceeds the supply in most areas, as a glance at the professional job advertisement pages will reveal. Many new and exciting opportunities - in industry, medicine, government, commerce or research - await a science graduate who has rounded off their first degree with additional training in quantitative skills, such as those provided by taught postgraduate courses within the Statistical Science Department.
