Welcome to one of the world’s most influential and interesting place to study and research mathematics. UCL Mathematics has been a leading name in mathematical teaching and research since 1826. Today, the department is home to world-leading researchers in a wide range of fields, especially geometry, spectral theory, number theory, fluid dynamics, numerical analysis and mathematical modelling, all working together to explore and push the boundaries of mathematical knowledge, for the benefit of industry and society.
