Excitations in complex oxides
Light-matter interaction is an exciting playground to explore a wide variety of physical phenomena. Investigating them from first principles, requires high-level methodology. Here, many-body perturbation theory (MBPT) is the state of-the-art approach to describe charged and neutral excitations in crystalline materials. With selected examples, I will show how these methods can be used to understand excitations in complex oxides.
