1 O'Clock Space Lecture - Professor Sarah Matthews (UCL)
UCL Space Domain present the third 1 O'Clock Space Lecture, featuring Professor Sarah Matthews (UCL Space and Climate Physics) giving her talk 'Living with a Star'.
The UCL Space Domain will be hosting its third One O’clock Space Lecture on the 5th of February, 1-2pm in LT G6, Archaeology Building, entitled ‘Living with a Star’ given by Professor Sarah Matthews. All welcome to attend.
Professor Matthews' areas of expertise include Solar physics: storage and release of energy in magnetic fields in the solar atmosphere; active region structure and evolution; initiation and evolution of solar flares and coronal mass ejections; formation mechanisms of 'sun-quakes'; solar energetic particle acceleration and space weather; ground and space-based instrumentation for remote sensing observations; solar activity and terrestrial lightning correlation studies.
