are now available.
Following feedback received from several meetings a departmental action plan has been compiled with specific deliverables.
Welfare Contacts and Dignity Advisors
The Department has several Welfare Contacts who are available to have confidential discussions with staff and students on all welfare matters, including bullying and harassment. This will involve listening to the issues raised and outlining possible options. Dignity Advisors work with staff and students across UCL whereas the Welfare Contacts are dedicated to staff and students within the Department. All discussions are confidential. However, if there are concerns for a person’s safety then steps (such as investigating a complaint, initiating disciplinary or other formal proceedings, or passing on to third parties in order to take this further) will be taken even where: a. an anonymous report is received (in which case action will be taken on a ‘no names’ basis); b. somebody has made a named report but does not wish to take this further. The Welfare Contacts and Dignity Advisors are as follows:
Sarah Matthews (sarah.matthews@ucl.ac.uk, tel. 2208) - Welfare Contact
Duncan Rust (d.rust@ucl.ac.uk, tel. 2119) - Welfare Contact
Mat Page (m.page@ucl.ac.uk, tel. 2283) - Welfare Contact
Chris Brockley-Blatt (c.brockley-blatt@ucl.ac.uk, tel. 2270) - Welfare Contact

UCL has an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Office which can also provide help and support. UCL also has a Dignity at Work Statement, Student Harassment and Bullying Policy and Privacy Policy.

Report and Support
UCL has introduced the Report & Support tool to allow staff and students to report incidents of bullying and harassment. There are two ways something can be reported: by contacting a Dignity Advisor or by reporting via the Report & Support tool (either anonymously or with contact details).
