This building is familiar to staff and students today as the Slade School of Fine Art. But it also has a place in this history of science: it is the building in which William Ramsay discovered the noble gases - for which he won the Nobel Prize. The Faculty participates in a number of open days throughout the academic year, including the UCL Undergraduate Open Day every June, and the Science & Engineering Postgraduate Open Day every January.
