Postgraduate Teaching Vacancies

Only available to UCL Chemistry Students - working a maximum of 20 hours per week. Work must not be carried out until we have seen and verified your Right to Work (i.e. passport). If you work before this, you will not be paid for any hours you did.

You should not carry out any work until we have seen and verified your right to work, as any work carried out before this Right to Work check will not be paid for.

Applications are invited from postgraduate students who wish to be considered for the following post:

Postgraduate Teaching Assistants (Grade 6)
Payment will be at Grade 6 pt 21 on the UCL salary scale, which is currently £15.32 per hour (including London Allowance).
The postholder will be required to assist in the teaching of undergraduate chemistry, in teaching (remote and or face to face) and marking of laboratory scripts for undergraduate chemistry laboratories, in outreach and widening participation activities and other related duties including providing support to module teams to develop online learning materials and activities, under direction of the module lead.

Please note:  Undergraduate students who carry out ad-hoc duties, or demonstrating at Workshops or Open Days will be paid at Grade 5 pt 20, which is currently £14.94 per hour and this will be organised through UniTemps. Again, they must see your Right to Work first before any work is done. Please contact our Chemistry HR team for guidance (hr.chem@ucl.ac.uk)

8. The name of your Supervisor

9. Month and year your postgraduate studies are due to finish if you complete and submit your thesis on time.

Please note, your Right to Work (i.e. passport) must be checked before you commence work. Please arrange with a member of the Chemistry HR team for verification of your Right to Work.

Applications are welcome at any time throughout the year but you cannot be considered for any paid employment within the department until you have applied and been accepted, and a contract has been set up.

 

 

Postdoctoral Research Vacancies
