Course:  MSci Astrophysics, 1st Year

As a disabled student, going to a new environment can often be challenging and rediscovering that support can be difficult. However, the support offered to me here at UCL was second to none that I’ve seen. Before I even reached out myself, I was asked to sign up to get a Reasonable Academic Adjustments, which helps me complete my assignments and takes a huge amount of stress away from deadlines and during exams. I also found it no problem to get a Disabled Students’ allowance, giving me access to a fridge for my medication, a new laptop and plenty of software to help me make notes more easily. The pastoral team here really makes you feel part of the UCL family - it wasn’t nearly as scary as I had thought.
