Faculty Lead on UCL's Awarding Gap Project

Tamara Alhilfi is the Student Success Lead for the MAPs faculty, collaborating with the Student Success Office. They lead on the design, development and implementation of UCL’s strategies to support academic success and close awarding and retention gaps across UCL. The Student Success Team offer support to UK undergraduate students who belong to at least one of the following groups; access UCL students, disabled students, mature students and care experienced and estranged students.
Tamara is an Associate Professor based in the Department of Chemistry, working closely with Katherine Holt (Vice Dean of Education), Francesca Scott (Director of Education and Student Experience) and Nicholas Achilleos (Vice Dean of EDI). Tamara leads a cross-departmental working group, and sits on a number of UCL committees to ensure that awarding gaps are considered in education strategies and the student experience throughout all departments in MAPS.
