Research Synopsis

I am investigating the role of the proteotoxic stress response in cancer, particularly following deregulated cell-cycle transcription. Deregulated G1-S transcription in the cell-cycle is one of the earliest events of cancer initiation and can be found in every type of cancer. Increasing our understanding of the mechanisms behind the proteotoxic stress response will therefore allow for the development of better targeted cancer therapies for a broad range of cancers.
As part of the wider LMCB community I am a member of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee and the Public Relations committee.
