New publication in Journal of Biological Chemistry for Saiardi Lab

In their recent publication in Journal of Biological Chemistry,  the Saiardi Lab build on their discovery of a novel post-translational modification of lysine residues in budding yeast, known as polyphosphorylation. They have further characterised this modification by revealing the importance of acidic amino acids in target proteins. Significantly, they have developed a yeast model in which to study this modification without the interference of the vacuolar inorganic polyphosphate. This research paper has been chosen as one of JBC's "Editors' Picks" which represent the top-rated papers published in JBC across the field of biological chemistry.
