The Faculty of Life
Sciences is home to highly regarded doctoral training programmes that allow
successful applicants to train for a PhD, supported by a student stipend and
payment of university fees. We seek to recruit the brightest and the best from
throughout the world, and so we created the Scholarship Without Borders fund to
assist individuals from outside the UK and EU to apply to these programmes.
The fund enables us to provide the additional university fees required for such candidates. In 2015 we launched the fund thanks to a very generous founding gift from the Vickers Family Trust, named for Dr. Marjorie Vickers (1943 BSc and 1948 PhD UCL Zoology graduate) and led by her daughter Dr. Alison Vickers.
Without Borders applies to our PhD programmes in Structural and
Molecular Biology and Neuroscience. Potential students should apply
through these programmes and will be considered automatically for this scholarship, should they be eligible. Over 2016 we hope to expand the scheme to further
postgraduate programmes, and if you are interested in contributing to this
exciting programme please speak to the Dean - firstname.lastname@example.org
