Acknowledging Facilities in publications

Research facilities and Science and Technology Platforms offer the research community advanced instrumentation and expertise, greatly contributing to the quality of research outputs. Acknowledging these facilities and professional staff provides a crucial and visible measure of their success and impact, helping them secure essential support and funding. 

• Please ensure fair attribution to the contributions made by research facilities and staff in all publications by following the UCL Fair Attribution Guidance.
• Please routinely include facilities' RRID numbers (Research Resource unique Identifier) in publications to increase their visibility. 
• If specific facility staff were involved in performing experiments or provided extensive training, advice, or work, please communicate with and acknowledge them. Consider co-authorship if their contributions were significant.
